Wake Up!
Thanks, Anna, for sharing this. I had to post because I love Dennis, too!
I remember the last time the Democrats were in power - I was able to afford my rent in NYC and still had time to hang out in cafes and talk to other artists and musicians, and to work, and to go to school, and have band rehearsal and play gigs, and have time for my boyfriend - without going into debt!
What the freak happened? I feel like all I ever do is work now. I've had a rude awakening these last few weeks - I realize my 40 hour a week job has turned into almost 60 hours a week and I am still unable to get all of my work done. What makes matters worse, what I do for money is not my passion.
I love writing and singing and hiking and biking and having meaningful realtionships with people, I love doing and teaching yoga, and painting, and gardening, and learning about nutrition and herbs. I love practical magic. I make a few extra dollars with yoga and herbs, and sometimes even with my writing and art - but I have got to make that leap. Work eats up most of my day, and lately, my evenings, too. I get up at 5 am to write before my energy gets sucked up at the job.
I know if I keep moving on, it will all turn out. Right now I am impatient and fed up with the amount of work I have to do. I am also fed up with this general malaise that seems to have blanketed our nation.
What next? I guess this is a 5th chakra question now (you'll be getting the 5th chakra info either today or tomorrow). WHAT NEXT?

And if Barack Obama's speach last night did'nt inspire you then your looking too deep too high and too specific. Dennis is inspireing yes, he is brave and inteligent and will be compared to Howard Dean from now on because of the high energy body language filled speach above.
But the Man who's got the ball and is about to run it in for a huge tochdown for OUR TEAM (the United States of America of Earth) is Mr Barack Obama.
I never imageined that one would have to work so hard in Flagstaff.
Is it really that expensive to live there? I know a guy that works 70 hours a week to raise a family of three daughters and a wife and he lives in NJ, I think that's an insane amount of hours but Flagstaff? Is'nt that a hipster / sports oriented comunity? 60 hours? You're beeing squeezed like a lemmon! I see you drinking your own lemmonade and relaxing on a hammack, dining and swimming in the next eight years... , there are still tough times ahead, not everything will be perfect, but better, I think, if he wins. This year Nov 4 is an inteligence test for the entire nation, if we fail, and mc same wins.. then quit your job(s) and start living it up and living off of the land and robbing banks, unless you fear the wrath of God or Buddah on judgment day because then , with more of the same ,if the republicas win ,Dec 2012 will truly the end of the world, I garontee.Otherwise, things will get better.
